Ever since I was young I always loved photos. I loved looking through my mom’s old photo albums and the hundreds of photos she took of me and my sister as little girls. I became the girl who always had a camera in my group of friends and documented all of our adventures. I always felt like I needed to take photos in order to capture every last memory so I wouldn’t forget about the experience in the future. Photos freeze time and allowed me to relive those memories forever. I’ve always been drawn to photography and capturing memories but it wasn’t until recently that I realized my background in design and my artistic side could shine through the use of a camera lens. After attending a photography workshop, which I thought was just to learn to take better photos for personal reasons, I found myself obsessed with learning more about photography and the techniques behind capturing amazing, artistic images. I again became the girl always with the camera asking anyone who would let me to take photos of their families, friends, kids and pets. Somewhere in the midst of that one workshop and practicing for weeks after I had my ‘a-ha’ moment technique wise and something just clicked inside of me that photography had been a missing piece to my personal and professional life. I’d been longing to find a passion…a passion I could make in to a career. I changed majors incessantly throughout college hoping to find the missing piece that would join my passion and create a career rather than a job. I was never able to really find a good fit, however, until I found photography. I’ve longed to find something that completed me…something that involved a creative side and a business side…something where I was able to enjoy people and create something that is personal. I found my passion in photography and found that my heart and mind could get behind making photography in to a career.
I would be honored to be a part of your special moments…capturing those memories and preserving them for the future. I’m a lifestyle photographer and aim to capture your memories in an artistic and photojournalistic way. I would love to talk with you about the memories you are creating and how we can capture them for a lifetime. Thanks for stopping by!
