Montelucia Wedding Photographer

Back in February I had the pleasure of photographing Jennifer and Emmauel’s wedding as an associate photographer for Jennifer Bowen.  There were so many unique aspects to this wedding at the Monetlucia in Paradise Valley.  Their wedding was the afternoon of Valentine’s Day and was so incredibly intimate and full of emotion.  Jennifer and Emmanuel are from the east coast and chose to come to Arizona to have an intimate ceremony with just the two of them.  I was so honored to photograph their small ceremony in which the love between the two of them was overwhelmingly evident.  Everything was so simple but so incredibly beautiful and really allowed their love for one another to take center stage.  After their small ceremony we took advantage of the gorgeous grounds around the Montelucia for some amazing bride and groom portraits.  I really can’t say enough good things about how nice this couple is and how much I enjoyed photographing them and their wedding on such a special day as Valentine’s Day!

This past Saturday I had the privilege of photographing Mariel and Stephan’s wedding at Sassi in North Scottsdale!  This wedding was absolutely beautiful full of gorgeous details and colors, perfect weather, and of course, lots and lots of love!  I was so excited when Mariel asked me to photograph their wedding since I know her personally and absolutely adore her!  We used to work at a design firm together and I got to know her pretty well over the year we worked together.  She is an amazing person…so sweet, genuine and absolutely hilarious!  I knew that her wedding would be amazing and I was so excited that she was marrying the man of her dreams.  I met Stephan for the first time at the wedding and I can honestly say that he is perfect for Mariel…so incredibly nice and you can tell without a doubt that he loves her with all his heart.

We started the day with the girls and Mariel putting her gorgeous dress on….

When Jennifer Bowen called to say that a bride and groom from Oklahoma were interested in booking an associate wedding package with me I was beyond thrilled.  I was even more thrilled when they booked me after only seeing a slideshow of my work and an album design!  The excitement continued to build when I found out that Michelle and David were getting married at the Four Seasons Resort in Scottsdale and that they were having a small, intimate ceremony and reception with all out of state guests.  Imagine my excitement when I finally met these two a couple months before their wedding and they were the nicest, sweetest and cutest couple ever!!  I was seriously in heaven!  Michelle and David were amazing to work with from the start.  At that first meeting Michelle was so incredibly organized with her wedding binder (a girl after my own heart) and they had everything planned to a T.  And on top of all the amazing organization and details you could tell without a doubt that these two were really in love!!  After hearing about all their plans for their big day I couldn’t wait for November 6th.

To start the day I met up with Michelle at the salon while she got her hair and makeup done!  This girl is gorgeous to begin with but add some makeup and fancy hair and she was stunning!

I LOVE colorful shoes with a crisp white wedding dress and Michelle’s did not disappoint!

David was such a laid back groom!  And so handsome!

Scottsdale Wedding PhotographerScottsdale Wedding Photographer

You could tell he was so excited to be marrying Michelle that day!

Scottsdale Wedding PhotographerScottsdale Wedding Photographer

Miss Rylee was so cute!  She is Michelle’s daughter and you can tell she is just as beautiful as her mom!  She’s also a little firecracker and was so fun to have at the wedding!  She definitely provided many laughs for us throughout the day!

Scottsdale Wedding Photographer

I ADORE the shot above!  Rylee was so excited to have the same dress as her mom!

Scottsdale Wedding Photographer

How grown up does she look?!?!  Beautiful!!

Scottsdale Wedding Photographer

Michelle was such a fun bride and actually sat on the ground without any prompting just to show David the bottom of her shoes…which she bedazzled herself!  So fun!

Scottsdale Wedding Photographer

Michelle and David opted to have a first look, which I love!  And after they saw each other for the first time we had a chance to get some fun photos of the two of them around the grounds of the beautiful Four Seasons Resort!

How gorgeous is Michelle’s dress?!?!!

Michelle definitely knew how to work the camera!  Gorgeous!

And of course after the ceremony we took advantage of the beautiful light right before sun set!

Michelle and David only had less than 25 people at their wedding so the reception and dinner were very intimate.  I LOVED that they chose to have one big, square table so everyone had dinner together.

Scottsdale Wedding PhotographerScottsdale Wedding Photographer

Congratulations, Michelle and David!  You were both a dream to work with and made my job so incredibly easy!  I wish you years and years of happiness and was honored to be a part of your special day!  It was gorgeous!!

And a big thanks to Kasia, Jennifer’s amazing intern!!  She did an AMAZING job second shooting with me and really helped the day go by smoothly!

Art and Sarah’s wedding on 10/10/10 was absolutely beautiful!!  It was intimate, low-key and full of color.  I adored all the colorful flowers they used and how personal their ceremony was.  This really was one of the most beautiful backyard weddings I’ve seen and the day was perfect!  We started off my four hours at their wedding with a good chunk of bride and groom time…which I LOVE!!  We were really able to take advantage of the beautiful, just remodeled backyard as well as the gorgeous light!

I LOVE the photo on the right!!  Definite favorite!

This little courtyard at the front of the house became an instant favorite!!!  And we got some fabulous photos of this great couple…

Before the ceremony I got a few detail shots of all the gorgeous flowers…

Art and Sarah chose to walk down the aisle together…

LOVE the colors!!  Look how beautiful the chuppah is…

As part of the ceremony they had 7 readings about marriage all read by close friends.  I thought this was an amazing way to incorporate your friends in to your wedding and to have something more personal tied in to the ceremony…

After the amazing ceremony we took advantage of the great light and of my favorite little courtyard…

And a final portrait in front of the BEAUTIFUL house where they got married…

It was an honor to be a part of your wedding, Art and Sarah!!  The day was absolutely gorgeous and everything turned out perfectly!  Thank you for choosing me as your photographer!  I hope you cherish your photos forever!!

Happy September!!!  I know I missed quite a few Friday Favorites back in August but I’m back on the train and ready to share some really good favorites!!  This week I’m sharing the album company that I use for all my clients’ wedding albums.  I just got in a sample album from KISS Wedding Books of Cat and Bob’s wedding and I’m in love!  The white leather, the full spread and lay flat pages and the simple design…love, love and love!  KISS prides themselves on making things simple which in turn makes my life and my clients’ lives easier!  The options are all so simple yet so perfect and the quality is awesome!!  While searching for an album company I was often inundated with too many choices and I just became overwhelmed!   As soon as I found KISS and their simplicity I knew they were for me!  I love that KISS has 3 sizes of albums that are all square and 7 colors of leather for the covers.  Those are the options…that’s it!!  Easy and simple…just the way I like it.  The album’s simplicity is perfect so that the photos and the wedding are the main focus.  The quality means that my clients will forever have their wedding images to show their family and friends in a way that is classic and unique!  I design all of the albums based on each clients photos so each album is different and beautifully features all of the photos!  I highly recommend albums to all of my clients…they are well worth the investment!!  And so you can see for yourselves what an amazing product this is, here are some photos of my sample album:

All the albums come in a fun black and white dust cover…

This is a 10×10 20-spread, 40-page album…

LOVE the white leather…

Lay flat pages allow for photos to go across both pages…

Thick, sturdy pages…

HAPPY FRIDAY!

I had the honor of photographing Cat and Bob’s beautiful wedding last Saturday at Sassi in North Scottsdale.  I used to work with Cat at an interior design firm a few years ago and I was so excited when she asked me to photograph her wedding.  The day was absolutely perfect…the weather, the venue, the details, the people…all perfection!  I’m in love with so many of the images from the wedding so get ready for a long (but fun) post!!
