Since I have babies on the brain (well one baby in particular), I figured I’d finally show you this adorable First Year Album.  This type of album is included with the Baby Steps Collections (aka 1st Year Package) that I offer and have mentioned before on my blog.  These collections include sessions at newborn, 6-months and 1-year and then we choose your favorite photos from those three sessions and create a beautiful keepsake of your baby’s first year in the form of this album!

This particular album is of Baby D and you can view his newborn, six month and one year sessions here, here and here.  I absolutely LOVE how the album turned out and can’t wait to make one for our little girl in about a year.  The album comes with a photographic cover and 20-pages (10-spreads).  The pages lay completely flat so I can design the album with photos going all the way across the two pages.  This particular album is a slightly upgraded version since it’s 10″x10″ (the collection comes with a 8.5″x11″ album as seen here) but any size of this album is amazing!!

For the cover I chose to include five photos from each session in little circles.  This really shows the progression of Baby D’s growth…

Looks just like a real book with binding and a matte cover….

LOVE that we used the same basket for his newborn photos (above) and for his 6-month photos (below)….

I design the pages in a very simple way to let the photos speak for themselves…

And of course a one year album wouldn’t be complete without including photos of a cake smashing….

Looking through newborn photos makes me so excited to meet our little one in about a month!  Newborns are just so small and sweet and squishy!  Love photographing them!  So back in April I photographed adorable Baby Luke at just 2 weeks old.  You may remember his family since I’ve photographed them multiple times since Lily was just a sweet little newborn.  In fact, Lily’s newborn session was one of the very first newborn sessions I photographed for someone outside of friends and family.  You can see more of this cute family’s sessions here, here, and here.

We started out the session photographing a very sleepy Luke.  I love using a bean bag and this soft blanket at the beginning of my newborn sessions to get these sweet sleeping photos…

And during her 6-month session

Back in February I photographed adorable twin girls as Jennifer Bowen‘s associate photographer.  Aimee was one of Jennifer’s past brides and she had just had twins a few months earlier.  Since they were premature they were finally ready to take some newborn-like photos of their precious baby girls and even though B & R were already a few months old they were just about the size of a full-term newborn baby and were just so incredibly sweet and small!

Remember this sweet little newborn….

Phoenix Newborn Photographer

Well she’s grown in to one adorable 6-month old…

Baby Grace is seriously one of the cutest little baby girls ever!!  I think it’s a mix of those bright blue eyes and gorgeous milky skin…she could be a model baby for sure!  And not to mention she’s was one of the sweetest and easiest babies to photograph and I don’t think she cried once during our session!  She made my job of capturing her adorableness pretty easy!  You may remember her adorable face from her newborn session back in July of last year!  Grace’s parents purchased one of the Baby Steps packages that I offer, which means that I get to photograph her and her cuteness 3 times in her first year and create a fun album to document her growth over that first year!  So you’ll definitely be seeing this little cutie a couple more times on the blog!

I love all the pink we used in her first session and we definitely didn’t shy away from the bows, pink and girly accessories in this session either!  Not to mention we brought back some of the baskets and buckets we used in her first session to really mark how fast this little sweetheart has grown!

Gotta love the pink bucket!

Thanks for being such a great baby, Grace!!!  Can’t wait to see how much you’ve grown and how adorable you are at your one-year session!!

PS…If you’ve outgrown that tutu, Miss Grace, I think I know someone who wouldn’t mind a hand-me-down that adorable!!!  Wink wink!

I can’t believe that Baby D is already 1!!! Where did the past year go?!  I’m seriously concerned about the rate at which babies grow in to toddlers and kids!  At least Baby D is really excited to be turning 1!  You probably remember this cute little guy from his newborn and six month sessions and since he’s all over my website.  Seriously, how cute is he?!  I absolutely love photographing him and am a little sad that this is the last of our scheduled Baby Steps sessions.  He has such an amazing temperament and adorable smile and apparently lots of clapping makes him amazingly happy, which means amazingly cute photos!  And cute photos meant I had a hard time narrowing down which photos to show you since they were all just so stinking adorable!  I met up with D and his fam at the Phoenix Zoo to capture his big milestone of turning 1!  His mom even brought an adorable cake for him to smash in to, which I loved.  This little guy is so close to walking and we got some really cute standing photos of him!  I’m sure he’s going to be running any day now.  I haven’t been to the Phoenix Zoo in ages and we didn’t really see many animals but we did find some really fun places for great photos!

Don’t you love his shirt!!!  I think it’s from Etsy!

Happy 1st birthday, Baby D!  So glad I was able to capture your first year!!!

Speaking of first year photos, I created a first year album (like this one) with all of my favorite photos of Baby D’s first year sessions so check back soon for some photos of it!!  I’m currently waiting for the UPS man to drop it off on my door step as we speak!

Happy 2011!!!  I can’t believe it’s already been a year since I wrote my 2009 Year in Review post.  So much has happened since the beginning of this year both personally and professionally making 2010 an amazing year!!  Before I share a photo from every session I photographed this year I thought I’d post some fun highlights!

At the beginning of October I hadn’t photographed a newborn in a couple months so I was really excited when I got the call that Baby B was born a little early and was ready for her close up!  I have to say that I’m pretty obsessed with this session and it’s photos and how sweet her chubby cheeks look on camera!  Seriously, how cute is she?!?!  Baby B was the sweetest little angel during her session.  At only 4 days old she slept perfectly and made my job so easy to capture some pretty cute photos!  Exactly the reason I always suggest that my clients call me as soon as they’re home from the hospital so we can get these precious sleeping photos of their beautiful newborn when they’re just days old!  Baby B pulled out all the stops with the chubby cheeks, sweet little fingers, and big baby smiles!!  Not to mention she has one full head of beautiful, dark hair!  Enjoy the cuteness!!

The two shots above are some of my favorite new bucket shot!!  Canvases?!!!

Mom, Dad and Baby love!!

And of course we had to get some photos of Baby B in the bird nest!!  Love!

And two more of my absolute favorites!!!

Congratulations, Christina and Anthony!  Baby Bella is absolutely beautiful!!
